|Happy Weekend! Check out what’s been going on in my world and some of the best articles from around the blogosphere.|
This was a rather ho-hum week as far as investing as well as my writing. The markets continued their climb higher which was good for some of my option positions, but very bad for others. That’s led to a rather sub-par start to June, but looking at the bigger picture I can’t really complain.
My writing went on the back burner this week since I headed back to work. That wouldn’t normally be much of an issue, but we had some problems the day that I got here that led to me not having internet access and no internet means no blogging. Of course I’d rather be safe than sorry so that was just something that I had to deal with.
What a turn in the markets starting around mid morning yesterday. Well, specifically the tech heavy Nasdaq that saw big down moves from many of the names that have been leading this market higher. Surprisingly enough the Nasdaq’s decline on Friday didn’t spill over into the S&P 500 or the DJIA as they were propped up by the financials and retail. Unfortunately for value investors this might mean that the bull market has firm legs as other sectors are making up for lost ground. Of course, this could be the start of a more ominous decline. Only time will tell.
